$25 Grocery Challenge

Gebecca Roins - this one's for you!

Yesterday I met my couponing friend April at a different Publix (because we heard they accepted the RiteAid $5 off $25 purchase coupon) We were quite the site...with an 8 month old and a six week old and stacks of coupons (there may have also been some climbing/jumping on store shelves to find peanut butter crackers) Here's how it went down:

(1) Roll Publix Paper Towels
(1) Stouffers family size lasagna (seriously, why make homemade?)
(1) 5 lb bag idaho potatoes
(1) Heluva Good dip
(1) Meullers whole wheat penne pasta
(2) Yellow onions
(2) 8 packs of Lance crackers
(1) Publix white bread
(2) bottles Sue Bee honey
(1) 1lb Fast Fixin's chicken tenders
(1) Publix sour cream
(1) Gerber Graduate Puffs
1 lb of bananas
(1) jar McCormick black peppercorns

Total BEFORE sales and coupons: $41.40
Total AFTER sales and coupons: $12.21

And here's what's on the menu this week:
Chicken Tenders and Fries
Lasagna
Hamburger Steaks with mashed potatoes and lima beans
Green Pepper and Onion marinated pork chops with mixed veggies
Out to dinner 2 nights this week..
YIPEE

On a side note...My friend and I were quite humorous at the check out line, her baby crying because he had just finished a bottle and wanted to be held/burped...my child with a MASSIVE blow out in her diaper but just content as can be to marinate in it while stinking up the place (like seriously, the diaper was so full it was leaking out the front - so full i didn't even attempt to change it until we go home - so full it required a bath upon removal - so full Jim gagged for like 30 minutes afterwards) And, i'm stealing this from another friend who so creatively drew a similar picture once on her blog, here's a beautiful artistic rendering of what i'm talking about:
