Our weekend

What a wonderful (and beautiful) weekend it was in Bama!   We drove down to Birmingham Friday afternoon to spend some time with Jims parents...and swipe some lumber and a slide for Hastings swingset.   Saturday a.m. it was off to T-Town for the A-Day football game.   We had a wonderful time touring the campus (it was neat to see all the buildings that Jim, his dad and his mom studied in), enjoyed some inflatables and food on the quad, heard Nick Saban speak in front of Denny Chimes, and met Big Al!

We got to the stadium a little less than an hour before "kick off" - got to see the team warm up...and sadly had to leave before the game started because Hastings was exhausted.   She was a trooper, but it was loud and hot and she had been going strong since 6am.

Back in Hsv on Sunday we took advantage of the perfect weather and got some projects started.  (We = mostly Jim)
Got the fire brick ready for the outdoor fire pit
 hauled some stuff...and Hastings
purchased remaining lumber and materials for swingset
and scored some free dirt from a neighbor to fill the play area.

I can't stress enough how much my husband rocks!  He amazes me daily because there is truly nothing he can't do.  And bless his heart, he always provides the labor for our millions of diy home projects.   I'm so praying we have a little boy for him...we'll find out this Friday.
